Another Piece of Newbie Damascus

Here is another piece of Newbie damascus. I say Newbie because some newbie out there would like to have a cheap piece of damascus to grind on and because it was made by a Newbie damascus maker (me).

The big piece at the top already sold but the smaller piece will go to the first person who asks for it and who can pay the huge $20 plus $5 shipping that I am asking for it by Paypal. Don't send money until you get confirmation from me that the piece is yours ! My email is knives@rayrogers.com (also my Paypal ID).

The steel is 6.5" x 2" x .128 " It is made from 1084 and 15N20 so it will make a very good blade. This size would be just about right for a 4" hunter with a stub tang, or you could make a 6" blade if you can weld on a tang. The steel is flat, smooth, fully annealed, and without inclusions. It is from an experiment I tried that didn't give me what I wanted but it will give you a chance to try some damascus for cheap!

Looking forward to seeing your slip joints Brett. Most of this stuff isn't really scrap though. The pieces in this picture for instance is exactly as I was planning to use myself. But, it was an experiment in pattern creation using dies that didn't work out the way I had intended. So, this isn't what I was aiming for but it isn't really a scrap either, just something that isn't what i need at the moment ...
