A Couple of New Ones

This is a gift knife that will find its way into a stocking this year. It is 1080 with a solid brass handle and brass pins peened with very heavy blows. Everything is mirror polished.

This one is one of my older designs, the P-4. You can see shades of David Boye influence in the design. It's still one of my favorites.
The knife is 1080 and the handle is said to be stabilized box elder burl, but I am not certain of that. It looks more like ash or cypress to me. Pins are stainless.

This one is my new P-12. It is a bit of an experiment with two types of maker's marks and a new thumb serration style. I gave it a Japanese style hamon. Steel is 1095 and the handle is stabilized box elder burl.

Sorry the pictures are so 'shop quality'. I have yet to assemble a new light tent in the new house, and I no longer run a regular website--just my FB page for knives. Trying to be less formal about it all.

That brass handle looks cool. Who cares how heavy it is! I have to make one as soon as I'm done with my Christmas orders. The other one's nice too! 😃

Very well done Sir !!!
I really like the uniqueness of all, not a "production" looking creation.

Looks great! I like the second one most, but the first one is a great idea, very cool to look at. All the look so sharp they might cut me through the screen on my phone! !!

I agree with Troy, Well Done!

Thanks fellas.

The second one is also my favorite.

The funny thing is that they really do look sharp in these pictures! Yet, none have received an edge yet--just a play of light.
