Nice bunch of pictures, Chris. I really like the one from the top of the hill. I feel lazy now for not hiking up there. Thanks for sharing.

What was Alan drinking there? It looks like you got the pic just in time before he hit the floor.

Thank you all for sharing your pics! Mandy and I saw them last night, she really had a good time. Next year she wants to do some forging while shes there. Right now she's designing a sheath for her knife.

Thanks, Chris, for the outstanding photo visit to Bowie's festivities. It is almost as though I had returned to the scene and relived a wonderful week-end. I met a lot of people I will not likely forget and friendships flourished all over the place. Putting faces to names is a fascinating reality that so seldom reflects the imagined appearance! I regret not being there on Sunday but personal problems dictated my return to Jaw-ja. The reception I received by all was immensely gratifying, and it is my every intention to return as often as I am able! It is not often that one is allowed to meet so many truly gifted artisans as was represented by the demonstrators and those absorbing the knowledge and skills of those gifted people. ---Sandy---

That's actually my "Would you just put that camera down already?" face. I was dog tired though, it being about 5:30 PM on day two, not to mention having been smoking some seriously strong tobacco (Samuel Gawith's Black XX Rope ) for the previous couple of hours.

It was great to be there, and to see old friends and meet new ones. If you've never met Sandy, for instance, do so at your earliest opportunity! He's even nicer than he comes across online, if that's possible.

Thanks for clearing that up Alan! That is exactly the line I would have used also.
Your wraparound hawk looks awsome! What type of wrought did you use? I have got to try one of those soon. Being able to see a demo on it would really help.

It looks like it was a great time and I would have loved to be there but it is on the other side of the continent from me. There is a local hammer in this weekend but I found out too late to get a weekend babysitter.

That little axe was made from some 1" round wrought that had been used as a tie rod in a concrete foundation. Really funky stuff. The edge is 1075. I'm glad Chris posted a picture of it, because I totally forgot to take any!

I can't comment on Alan's photo because he has been good to me lately. But I will second that it was a pleasure to meet Sandy Morrissey among others.
