Johnny, somebody that deals with K& G needs to contact them about taking a booth. I don't give them much business, but somebody probably does. They're usually at the shows.

Ken sometimes takes a separate table himself to show off his own knives.

Also, I don't see any collectors or purveyors on the list.

Don, I have invited Ken at K&G but the cost of travel has curtailed some of his shows, including ours.

We've been inviting dealers and purveyors, but so far, no takers. I'm sure the costs of travel are affecting them as well. I'm hoping that this next week we'll pick up some last minute table holders. Put out the word if you can think of anyone.

Johnny

It might be slightly lacking in quantity, but it's an outstanding line up of talent none the less, and will make for a fine show! Hopefully all the table holders will see outstanding sales and next year's will have twice the number of makers!

Of course, we'll all be driving little hydrogen powered scooters by next July so gas prices won't be an issue!

We should have a BOD/general TKCA meeting at SOS and specifically discuss organization and marketing of the Summer show...ie, what worked, what didn't, what could be done better etc. While members are at the show, have some paper handy to jot down any passing thoughts on the show while they're fresh in your mind! I'll volunteer to head up marketing/advertising for next year and can have some budgeting numbers by SOS for various ideas I've had. Of course, some will depend upon response to different avenues we explored this year.

See y'al Sat!

Great ideas Don. You're elected to be in charge of our marketing/advertising campaign for next years show. We will have both a directors meeting, as well as a general membership meeting at the SOS Show in late Sept. Here are the dates and location for the SOS Show:

Knives Illustrated Spirit of Steel Show
September 27 - 28, 2008
Hilton DFW Lakes Conference Center.
Behind the Bass Pro Shop, at Grapevine Mills, Grapevine, Texas

Funny you should mention that, Don, since my Mom and I will arrive in a water fueled VW Golf. I have a hydrogen generator in the car that splits plain water (H2O) into HHO, separating the hydrogen and oxygen from the water and feeding the HHO gas directly into the air intake.

The diesel direct fuel injected engine runs much smoother and I expect to achieve a significant increase in fuel mileage per gallon. We'll have a great check on the increase in MPG when we get to Round Rock.

I'll have 56 of these units with me for sale at a low, low price of only $25,000.00 each. (just kidding, of course)

I'm glad to hear you'll be back in Texas for the show.

The Central Texas Knife Show in Roundrock next weekend, Andrew. The TKCA has taken over the show.
