passing of Ruffin Johnson

Ruffin Johnson a Texas Legend knifemaker passed away this morning. Ruffin was a great man as well as one of the very best at the hidden tang knife and the mirror polish. He wll be missed by the knife community as Ruffin would help anyone that ask. May your parayers fo to his family in this trying time.

It would be nice if a lot of the knife community would go to the funeral homes web site and sign the book for Margie She loved the knife community and went to the Guild show each year with Ruffin. It would mean a lot to her in this trying time.

Thanks to all that do this.

While I never met him personally, his knife designs were well thought and I never heard a negative comment about him.
RIP and condolences to this family and friends.

My condolences to the family. Our prayers are with them.
Ruffin helped me many times when I was first starting to make knives back in 1983. In 1991 at my first Guild show he and Gordon Johnson joked that if we got anymore Johnsons in the Guild we could stage a coup and change the name.

For those of you that have not seen Ruffin's knives I have attached a picture of his work.
You would do well to emulate.
Regards,
