what flooring for shed shop

i got a amish made shed, well its more of the cottage type that is going to be my shop, what kind of flooring should i use being that there will be blade grinding going on....i was thinking of vinyl plank..any ideas would be great - thanks!

I would stay away from the vinyl. Hot sparks will melt into it and I am not sure of the flame resistance. I would go with a pressure treated plywood with a couple of layers of good thick industrial paint over top.

good has the 3/4 plywood...but the industrial paint sounds pretty good.

Also the roll on vinyl.

Yes it' vinyl, but the kind with what looks like a paper backing is actually 30% asbestos. You can tell by tearing a small piece and look for crystal fibers. The stuff would make cleanup easier. Oh and if you ever decide to remove it, just keep it wet.

Talk to a flooring store about non flammable alternatives like cement board for tiles and there is a cement like floor leveling mix as well that you would trowel on. Many options out there with the new polymer cement-stucco type stuff.
