second knife
This second knife was a little disappointing..I started thinking i would slap something quick together for a shop knife but im not happy with my design. Before i had put my final edge on it i caught my girlfriend using it to scrape bird crap off the deck railing!, she calls it my butter knife...... Anyhow ended up as a paring knife. 1095 with black micarta handles

I was expecting much worse when I read your post... its really not that bad, quite good for a second knife IMO. The only real issue I could see with it is your grind lines are kind of lost unless its a convex profile then it may just be the picture. All around pretty good looking.

I agree, not that bad but you need to work on the grind lines.
If it is now a paring knife I hope your girlfriend washed it really well after scraping that bird poop. Bird poop is not an acceptable butter substitute ..... |

That is not a bad looking knife. It's easy to be critical of a knife where you can see where it didn't come out quite the way you wanted it to but you really did well for knife #2.
