Doug,
thanks for you honesty. there are too many "yes men" allready and we need more people who will just tell it like it is!

Actually i posted the pic to get everyones opinion, and this comment is exactly what i am looking for. i am torn between the camo or black for the blade color. i am pretty much sold on the handle material though, but not sure about the blade yet.

remember that the pic is just a close example of what it will look like.

I too agree that camo is overdone and have never seen the point of camo underwear!! lol i am not trying to over do it, i just want something that is unique and looks cool!

thanks for your comment, i hope others leave theirs as well,
Jeff

I like the orange handle, but like Doug, I'm not so keen on the camo. If I were to coat the blade, I'd go with black or something like an olive drab or something similar of uniform color.

I'd ditch the Camo.

Have you thought about etching the blade?

If you're looking for opinions, I'll take the other side on this one - I like the camo. I agree with the others above that it serves no practical purpose, but I just think it looks cool.

Ok, here's one more take on the color sceames (sp). The orange is fine, it's funtional in that it will help you find a knife that you have laid down for a moment to empty your hands. Camoflage will help conceal that same blade laying in the brush. Of course with the combination the orange will still stand out and if you think that the camo looks good then you have it too.

Im deer hunter, and I like the orange idea(we have to wear 400sq inches of orange anyway) and like someone else, would be a great help when laying it down in the leaves.

thanks for all the suggestions guys, they are appreciated!

here is where i am having the work done.... http://www.4bushweaponsrefinishingsystems.com/
he charges $20 a blade, and $10 for each other color. so its going to be about $50 for the camo design, where i can get one color for only $20

although i agree the camo looks cool, it may not be practical, plus with the extra cost, it just may not be worth it.

so my other option is black which i really like. plus the orange and black will look good together.

here is what it might look like......

what do you think?

Looks better than the orange with the camo.
