i have been looking at a knife made by prater,can anyone tell me about this maker?

I did a search and found out he is a customizer of Case knives, among others. Look here:

Coop,thanks for the info.The knife im looking to buy is 11.75 oal,5" handle consisting of stag and amber colored burl,6.75"random damascus.The gaurd is 1/4" brass and has brass butt cap that is filed to match the formation of the horn.Seller is wanting $375 for it,it looks like a real nice knife.Does this price seem out of line for what i have described?THANKS_____TROY.

Well, not knowing if this was an actual knife 'handmade' by Mr. Prater himself, or a kit knife that he customized from parts bought out of any number of knife supply houses makes all the difference.

That's a fair price for a notable custom maker, but a bit steep for a kit. It's your call. Photos?

Are they digital? If so, save the photos on your hard drive, or send me a link to where they are posted. If you have them in prints, then you would need to scan them. You can attach a digital file to an email and also send it.
