I should dig around my dads shop and see if I can find the knife I started to make when I was around 8-10 years old. It just might top yours man!

I once made a knife from a nail. It was sharp enough to cut my finger - unintentionally, of course. I think I was about 13 at the time. Then I once made a letter opener from some sort of hard wood. I think it was walnut. Looked more like a knife than the nail job... Don't know what happened to either of them. Probably rusted / rotted back into mother earth by now... First real knife-like object, heat treated and all was a parrying dagger which hangs on the wall in my basement. It's not too ugly to throw out, but I wouldn't brag about it, either.
