mmm Bacote

Bacote, one of my fave woods to use......always a nice variety in grains.....
steel O1 , red spacers, brass corby's, 8-9 oz sheath , 59 HRC avg

a quick sheath on paper first......before final edge and handle polish/cleanup

Rob,

Love the hamon on the utility knife...err, oh, shoot, sorry man...wrong knife!

No seriously, you did a great job on both knife and sheath. I really like the sheath as it shows patient tooling and contrast in dyes. You are certainly taking more time to do sheaths and it shows.

Not to be overly critical but, I squirm at the sharp 90? edge on the fronts of the scales. That may be a blister maker depending on how the user holds it.

Thanks for posting!

Dan

I made a knife with similar and the old fella that bought it brought it back and had me round this off.

Gorgeous!!!! That knife is beautiful and wow, that sheath blew me away. I'm like ray, it makes me wish I could bring myself to work with leather but I barely have time to make knives, nevermind practicing leather sheaths. Guess I'll stick to kydex lol.
