Handle for a Helle knife blade?

Just started in somewhat of knife building. My first question is on making the slot in the handle for this type of thin tang? I thought of drilling a hole but the tang is quite thin and square. I did not want a big hole left with such a small tang. I have searched the net but have not had any luck as to a good answer. I have a drill press and other tools just waiting. Thanks ahead of time for your replies. Flint
