You gotta love the RMK of the Modern Era
Hi folks!
I think those of you who are not particularly interested in RMK crafted between 1990 and circa 2006 are missing another excellent aspect of Randall knives. Not only are blades from this era more finely put together than their predecessors, many can be considered works of art. It is also true that each Randall in my collection could be used for its basic designed purpose. To cut something! I would acknowledge that in general, knives produced after 2006 to the present are sadly not as impressive. This is due to the company's decision to severely limit the customers the choice of options when ordering knives directly or from authorized dealers to five. The possibilities of ordering imaginatively designed knives is now very constrained. Anyway there are still many outstanding examples of the former period that can still be found in the after market. Perhaps some of you can post your fine examples from this era right here on this thread. It might change a few minds... Her's one to get us started: Cheers! That handle looks like Ironwood, right 505?
The Big Bear I posted has a Rosewood handle. By the way, my name is David not Davis. Cheers! Moosehead __________________ It takes less effort to smile than to frown ! |
