recurve fighter
My newest creation, and my first use of my new sandblasting cabinet and compressor!
Not totally done yet. I've got the epoxy setting up now, and still will need to grind the pins and finish the handle sides.
It is made from .25 thick Elmax, length just under 11", 6" blade, red g10 liners, and wenge for the scales. I did a neat finish on the wenge. I used a wire wheel to strip the softer wood out of the grain, then sanded and polished. I like the look, and it gives a good amount of grip to the handle.
once I have it all finalized with sheath and everything, I'll post up some pics.

Very nice Recurve!
I really like the knife, especially the finishes. I might try that with the wenge as I have some on hand.

Thank you. I'm really happy how this one turned out
The relief was really easy to do in the wenge. I just chucked up a small fine wire wheel in my drill press. Just a couple minutes on each scale, then to the buffer with a sisal wheel and black rouge, then muslin wheel with black, followed by acetone clean, teak oil finish. I'll definitely be using this method again.
