A few questions???

I'm getting verry intrested in knifemaking, and there are a few things that I would like to know about. Like what is "hollow ground", or a clip or drop point blade. Does anybody have any suggestions for books to buy to help me get started. Right now I am being taught to engrave by Ron Knott, and he said he would also teach me to make knives. Any help would be appreciated.

You could do a lot worse than Ron Knott. You could be working with me.

Read this tutorial written by Don Cowles "A Little About Knives" which is the second tutorial on the list. That will explain Hollow Grinding.

Get the "How to make knives" by Loveless and Barney

Good luck.

welcome to ckd, jeremy.
ron may be best know for his engraving talents, but he knows how to make a fine knife, too! take advantage of any time he can spare you.
you could also do a lot worse than read all of the tutorials under the how-to button (top right of the screen) and browse through the forums as time permits. few beginner questions have not been answered here at least once.
