Angry Virulent Fraud on eBay - Beware!

Hi all!

Please watch out for any listing that's entitled:

RANDALL KNIFE 25-6 TRAPPER - SS - BRASS - STAG - MINT
FREE SHIPPING WITH BUY IT NOW

This knife was sold legitimately on June 18 (Item #6636524326).

However a scam artist is using hijacked ebay accounts to try and sell this knife using the "borrowed" photos and description of the original listing, and an enticement of free shipping, if you use the Buy It Now. Except there is no Buy It Now button and one has to email the crook.

See this example: http://cgi.ebay.com/RANDALL-KNIFE-25...QQcmdZViewItem (EBay has been notified already.)

This is the fourth time this bogus auction has been offered this week, all by different hijacked sellers!

No So Cheery!

Moosehead

Thanks Moosehead.
I will always check here before I bid again. I hardly ever bid on Randall Made Knives on ebay unless I find that exact knife I've been looking for and talk to the seller first but I can see how the inticement of free shipping can clould the judgement!

I bid on the knife because he (or she) wants you to contact them thru there e-mail first. They probley don't want the legit ebay account owner getting any e-mails.In the last case I contacted the ebay account owner and asked them how they could be in New York and England at the same time, which alerted them. I am willing to take a hit on my ebay score to save a Randall buyer 5 to 6 hundred dollars. PJ

I typically also notify the person who's identity was stolen. In this case you'd think the scumbag would have picked a higher value Randall for his scam!!!!!!!

Unbelievable! This guy (andreeapi@gmail.com) is putting this same knife up under different stolen accounts 2-3 times a day! It's like he has access to e-bay's records!

Guys, he's going for the Guiness Book of all-time eBay fraud artist records, and at the same time he's putting the lie to P. T. Barnum's dictum... In fact, there's a sucker born every TEN seconds!

Cheers!

This buyer is a "spoiler" I'd be chafed if I was the seller:

Some of these guys keep the photos and write-ups for a long time before they attempt their scam:

Angry Yet Another!

Hi all!

This one is just too funny!

EBAY Item number: 290018594364

http://cgi.ebay.com/Randall-knife-Wo...QQcmdZViewItem

This "world war two Randall number 1,the holy grail of military knives..." is apparently located in both the UK and the United States!

I guess the crook who hijacked the real eBayer's account wants to play both sides against the middle, or simply can't make up his mind.

Pathetic... :

Cheers!

Moosehead

Now you see it...

Well folks I'm afraid you have all missed seeing this one.

Ebay has cancelled the auction and left this message:

"This listing (#290018594364) has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number."

This fraud lasted less than an hour!!!

Perhaps Randall Man had something to do with this...

Cheers!

Moosehead
