NT Mess Kit

Covers the three core mealtime requirements: Something to eat with, something to cut with, and something to open your beer with.

Been in the shop all day trying to get the sheath right for this set, which I owe to a very patient fellow. It kills me that everything is ready to go except the packaging.

The blade is train spring (9260), the scales and chopsticks are Brazilian redwood, and that's deer rawhide on the handle. It is translucent because the picture was taken while the linseed was still drying. I am finding more and more (especially after those chopsticks) that I really enjoy working with wood.

Time to get back out there and enjoy the heat. Thanks for looking!

Excellent work, Adam. I like the blade and the chopsticks. Wouldn't mind having that as my mess kit. Todd

Thanks!

Ron -- It has been well tested on a significant variety of both domestic and imported beers and ales. I take my bottle opener testing very seriously.

Thanks everybody. I had a lot of fun with this one.

I made the chops the old fashioned way... started pushing with a chisel and stopped when the block of wood looked like a pair of chopsticks.

Then I rubbed them down with some 400 grit sand paper and finished it all off with linseed and beeswax.

Don't worry, part of the lesson in a kith is how to learn to meet deadlines. Something I have yet to master (or even grasp the concept of)

Heh, a year ago I could hit any deadline. I was even proactive and finished BEFORE my deadlines.

Then I became a father.
