DDR3BL Screws?
I am in need of a few handle screws for the DDR3BL. I notice that Knifekits has screws but I have no clue what size I need. They are simply described as "short round head screws." There's a screw kit available but it's for the DDR3 liner lock. Compatible? I broke several of these by simply tightening them. Should they be this fragile? Should I consider titanium? Lastly would anyone recommend another potential supplier because this is a case where the shipping would greatly exceed the cost of the 2 screws I am in need of. Thanks!

First off, no, the screws shouldn't be all that fragile but, then again, they are tiny screws so you can't torque down on them very much and maybe you did.
Second, I don't know what size those screws are or even what style they were, you didn't say. But, I do know that there is no magic there and you don't have to have that exact same screw. Go to your local hardware store and look for screws in that size - most likely you're looking for 1-72 or 2-56. You don't have to get the same type of head but, if you can, that would be best. The length doesn't matter as long as the new screws are at least as long as the old ones - you can always shorten them. If you have a fastener store listed in your yellow pages that would be even better. These stores handle every variety of screws you can imagine along with most other consumable tools like drills, reams, files, etc. Learning to mix, match, and substitute screws is pretty much a requirement for anyone who wants to build liner locks.... Thanks Ray. That's good advice. I may hit up Grainger.
