Rade, very kewl. Is it a special order? What is the intended use? My son is a log home builder, that axe looks like it would work well inside a corner notch. ghostdog |

Mike a friend of mine did the rough forging and I shaped it, ground it, polished it, and put the walnut handle on. The metal is not very hard and was very easy to finish. Fitting and finishing the handle took longer than the head. Ghostdog, this was not a special order. I saw this rough forging in a friends truck and ask is I could buy it from him and play with it. The metal is to soft to make a good cutting tool but it will make a great digging tool for use with a metal detector or flower garden. I had 6 or 8 people wanting to buy it at the Guild show but I would not sell it----Thanks for all the comments, it was a fun project |
