A new folder

***Edit...added better pic***

Man, I could have swore I posted this in the Folder forum tonight, but I was cruising through there, and no post by me.

Anyhoo...I call this the "Business Casual". 2-3/4" blade. 6-3/8" OAL. ATS-34 blade. 416 stainless bolsters. Satin finish on blade and bolsters. Burlap micarta scales. Blued and jeweled titanium liners. Blue pau cabochon in thumbstud.

Very nice Bob. Any idea how long it took you to make?

Also how did you cut the lock...?

Thanks for the comments. The liners are anodized...blueing wasn't a good word, but I was too tired last night to remember anodize Blue Pau shell in the thumb stud. Right now, a folder takes me about 15-18 hours...not much longer than a fixed blade. I cut the long (horizontal) part of the lock with a slitting saw. You can mount it in a mill or in a drill press. I cut the smaller vertical cut with a bandsaw. I clean up with the flex shaft. You can ue a cut off wheel on the flex shaft for the entire operation if that is all you have.
