To attach a picture to your post start with the 'Go Advanced' button instead of the 'Post Quick Reply' button. Then look for the 'Manage Attachments' button on the next screen, press that and follow the prompts to upload your pictures ...

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Photobucket but it can be used to solve your problem. A better solution would be to resize your photos and make them smaller. To do that, you need to use virtually any of the hundreds of picture manipulating programs that are available (many for free). If you have Windows then you already have Paint which, while not great can get the job done. Other than that, you can go to http://photobucket.com and get an account set up.

No matter what, nobody can function in today's society without being able to do email and photo sharing at a minimum. Might as well bite the bullet and get it done ....

Try this, it will allow you to the Windows program. Click on attachments (the paperclip). That will open a new window. Click on choose file. If the picture you want doesn't appear click on pictures on the left column, open the file that the picture is in and click on it. It should appear as a selected file in the window. Right click on that picture and you should see a select box. Click on edit > resize > change by percentage to by pixels. Then change the horizontal pixels, vertical will automatically change, click OK, close resize and save changes. Double click on picture to select and click on upload. Click attachments again and the file should appear in the test where the picture will appear.

If the picture still has too many pixels then it won't upload and you will have to select the picture again, it should be in the select window this time, and readjust the size.

Doug

Sorry about the picture of the kitchen knife, it was the one that I was practicing on to get the instructions right and didn't realize that I had attached it nor do I see how to remove it.

A VERY nice job for a first knife. I'm glad that you were able to work your way through the program to post your pictures.

Doug
