? for Mr. Loose

Jonathan,
I was snooping around your web site (very neat stuff, BTW) and something caught my eye:

I have been looking for roughly 3/8" to 1/2" cast NS skulls for fireing buttons for my springers. Would you be interested in casting some for me? If so let me know what it would run ($). The one in the photo looks to be about the right size.

Cool..

Let me look into the NS casting costs / technical details... etc.

What is a firing button on a springer?

It's the release button on a switchblade. It gets hard soldered onto a little steel lever so it would help if it had a small flat place on the back of his little head. A couple dozen would last me years. The more evil looking the better. :evil

On this one it's the 8mm oval obsidian gem.

Jeez,

I thought you were launching dogs or something...

Yeah... the ones I have are just over 1/2" wide, but I might carve a new one for my own purposes sometime in the next month or so. I'd be happy to part with some...

...I've actually thought about doing some side business making little menukis and cool fittings to sell at shows or off the website.

Cool!
I've been looking all over for skull jewelry that would suit my needs. The 1/2" size would work well on my larger knives and knuckle knives. I can always grind the flat spot myself... that might really work best . Think about a "per piece" price and email me. Silver or Nickel would be preferable.

... what's a menuki?

The little ornamental pin that gets wrapped up in Japanese style handle wraps... dragons, skulls, carp etc...
