Colonial Miniature

Last summer I aquired a miniature knife at a yard sale.
It is 2-7/8" overall. It is a little bowie knife with
a full tang, and bone colored plastic handle slabs riveted
on. The guard and butt are incorperated into the slabs.
It is marked COLONIAL PROV. USA. It is a cool little
knife. I have looked in a few books ect. but have found
nothing regarding this kind of factory miniature. I
assume it is meant to be a letter opener. If anyone knows
anything about it, or knows someone who collects miniatures
please let me know.

Thanks Rick

Rick,
You might want to try Bernard Levine over at Bladeforums. He is the collectible expert.
