Need some starting help with sheath making
I have been looking at the threads regarding kydex sheaths. I think this will work great for what I can do. I a just starting out and have zero machines. Can the rivits or eyelets be installed with basic hand equipment? If so can anyone tell me what I need.
So far what I came up with: Heat gun Press for molding kydex to knife Rivits or eyelets I am just getting caght up on the rivit installaton. |

I bought a rivet kit from menards that uses a hammer and it works great. I built my own press with a 2x4x8, a 2'x2' piece of 1/2" ACX Plywood, a hinge and a seat pad (the kind you use at a stadium). So far I made my first sheath tonight so fas so good. used my band saw to rough out the blank and just some hand sanding to finish it.
