Latest bowie

I gave this one a 240 layer random blade. The handle is stabilized bone w/ 416 & brass furniture. (It has a frame tang coffin shaped handle.) I left the brass spacer a little proud. The third dimension is a little something that I was inspired to do by some of the work of Lin Rhea. Much of the rest was inspired by some of the 19th century Bowie makers and has a little of many incorporated in it.

This one has a little bit of old & a little bit of new. Let me know what you think.

Gary

Excellent Bowie, I like what you've done with it. I normally don't care for the coffin handle, but this one is outstanding.

That knife has some great personality! I really like the cross inlay and the contrast generated by the stainless and brass on the white bone. I've got on my list to make a Bowie for me, maybe a heirloom to be passed to one of my kiddos... That is a great example, I would be very proud indeed, if mine turns out half as nice as that one.

(I won't be making the Damascus any time soon though!)

Wow, very nice Gary! I really like the bone with inlay frame handle. Maybe I can see it in Branson if you haven't sold it already. I would like to learn how to do inlay like that cross! That tractor seat makes a great prop. Take care.
