Pewter Casting
I suppose this belongs in this forum.
Has anyone here cast pewter/lead as a guard/bolster? How about pouring pewter into the pin holes as pins? Do you have any tips? |

Alan Longmire posted some great information on using pewter and other cerro alloyed metals.

I've done a little. My favorite for pouring is Roto Metal's lead free babbitt metal. I don't remember the name of the alloy but it's the one with nickel in it. It's probably harder than the non-lead pewters.
