Microtech maintence !!!!!!!!
BOSTIK Dricote blade and bit lubricant. This spray is what all OTF microtech should use. screw what the manufacturer reccomends. I have 2 Scarabs and tried everything for lubrication. powdered graphite, militec, break free, and many others. All of these products just plug up the knife and make it work like crap. This dricote is amazing, spreads well on metal parts, lasts through at least 300 flick of the trigger. Best of all the lube never builds up to slow the spring mechanism. My Scarab D/E opens and retracts better than anything microtech has at it's shop guaranteed. Operation is so smooth you can't even feel the plate move that operates the open and retract flappers. Only other issue that needs to be addressed, glass breaker tip. You need a #10 star pattern lock washer cause 20 flicks and it's loose and soon to fall off. For all new microtech OTF owners, this info is on the level of bible versus. remember it follow it and your OTF will be a bad MF. It took me about 4 months to figure out what worked and the dricote and lock washer will make the microtech OTF a bulletproof reputation

I currently run weapon shield on mine. I've been pleased with it on all my guns and knives.
