First use of Kydex...

Hey guys, here's my first sheath made of Kydex (well, my first sheath period come to the think about it)

It's for a small necker that I made for a trade with NedFig of these forums. My first attempt had the rivets so close to the opening that it was almost impossible to get the knife out. I had to chuck it up in a vise to remove it! Not exactly what you want to do evertime you reach for it...

Now, the fit is good without being too tight. Any suggestions on how to improve on my design is appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Looks like a very well formed sheath. Seems to me you've got the hang of it. Very well done, especially for a first sheath.

Chris, where did you get that stamp with your last name? I've been looking all over for a quality manufacturer, can you recommend one? Thanks!

John,

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I hadn't checked on this thread in a while.

I got my stamp from Harper Manufacturing:
http://www.cancom.net/~hnilica/supplier-1.html#harper

They are really easy to work with. My stamp cost about $65 I think. It's the same one I use for my blades. For the Kydex, you just whack it a lot easier.

Thanks Fred. Like i said, you wouldn't want to see the first one.

Chris
