Right now, none of the suppliers I normally look at for that type of thing have any sheep horn in stock except for Jantz. So, as far as I can tell at this time, if you want any you'll probably have to get it there.

I've never used any sheep horn but I generally trust Jantz, bought a lot of handle materials from them. I like the look and would like to try some but I want it in a solid piece that I can use for hidden tang and nobody - and I do mean nobody - I know has ever offered it for sale that way, only in scales. About the only people who use much sheep horn seem to be Ed Fowler and his followers and Ed raises his own sheep. Seems like you have to if you want anything but scales ...

Thanks, Tuskbuster, I hadn't thought of Culpepper.

Rob,

Culpepper's has both ram and sheep horn, you can start here:

Pay special attention to their comments about working with this horn as I have heard this before....

To bad you don't have any friends on this side of the border that you could have it shipped to. Yup, that's a real shame ....

Check out Giraffebone.com . I have used them in the past with great results. What you see is what you get on their site, which is a real bonus for me. I have never had an issue with them and have ppurchases 3 or 4 times.
