Jack
I use Photobucket too, and it was down for maintenance. On my computer, your pictures were gone too. Now yours are back
I will check it again.

I think they are back up.
Thanks, Samg

Hi Sam!

All your photos are back except the very last one you posted on this thread. Photobucket says it's "Not Found".

I think you have to put it back in Photobucket and then re-post it.

Cheers!

David

Thanks Sam! Yes my Figured, Exhibition grade and Burl Turkish walnut knife handle blocks are very popular all over the world and it makes me very happy when i see my gorgeous woods on beautiful knives as well.

In the '60, the shop offered the Indian Rosewood, so why not Turkish walnut. Not positive that it's that, as there are so many strains of each wood and burls.

Well, what a coincidence that you are a member of our group! I just googled it, and your site popped up.

What is your opinion of the type wood on my 12-8 on this thread? It seems to be between Ebony and rosewood. I tend to lean towards rosewood, its just that it is so dark, until you put it under light, then you can see the graining.

It may be rosewood. Whatever it is, it is nice my friend.
I highly recommend you Turkish walnut in your next project as well.

Some of TL's seven "continents" knives from 70s/early 80s. They have been shown before but I don't get tired of seeing these pictures from Rick Bowles. There is a secret in the steel of these knives too.

Thanks Jack. I had not seen those knives. Stunning!
I found one of Rick Bowles pages where one was for sale.

I am not sure if its current and still for sale or not. I went to his website and looked at knives for sale and did not see it. But its still cool to look at and some nice closeups, with more of the details of the knife.
Thanks again Jack.

Regards, Samg
