4 small knives...

Hallo,

my first picture post on this forum...

I started making knives three years ago, as a hobby, using only handtools-files and lots of sandpaper-thats why they tend to be rather small...
You can see that my designs are influenced by a number of knive makes out there, but I try not to copy too much.

All knives are around 15 cm OAL and made of RWL34.

Thanks for looking, Jens.

Good grief, Jens !

Files and sandpaper !! Awesome work, and those really look like good hard workers. Welcome to the forums, and hoping you'll post more pics in the future.

Hi folks,

thanks for the warm welcome and nice words!

I hold the other 'Jens' (Anso ) partly responsible for me starting to make knives-and his distinct style also influences me.
I have a few more knives I will add to my album, but due to my sloooow working, I have only finished 8 in the last 3 years...

Very nice indeed Jens. I can see the 'other' Jens influence but you definitely have your own style. Those scales look really good, especially the one creeping around the hole....

8 in three years with hand tools is not bad at all. Especially with the quality of work you are producing. I've only done six in a year and half with power tools. I hope you keep up the good work. Maybe you can fund some power tools by sell truly handmade knives

Thanks again, for your kind words!
Actually I'm going to stick to hand tools for a while, as I'm only doing this for a hobby and am enjoying the 'hand made' thing more than the finished knives, in a way (okay, learning to grind with a machine is not easy, too)
