Viking eating knife.
Hi all,
I recently rediscovered CKD forums after some period of inactivity in my knifemaking (caused by work and a newfound gun hobby), and was really glad to find this new forum! Historical inspiration is what is driving most of my knife projects lately, and I though this is the perfect forum to show off my last knife - inspired by certain type of small Viking knives (they had a very distinctive sheath construction actually, the knives themselves appear to have been rather plain). I put together a page with some pictures (including one of the archaeological finds that provided the inspiration for the project) and a rather long winded description. Take a look, and I hope it will start some discussion! http://www.geocities.com/aindman/vik...ting_knife.htm Alex. |
