Buying ITC-100

Hi
Does anyone know where I can buy a pint of ITC-100 online or some places I could call that do mail order.

I tried www.budgetcastingsupply.com/ but they wanted 20 bucks for shipping!!!! Especially since it says prices include shipping to the 48 states. I'm only in Canada and items usually only cost 10% or so more to ship up here and isn't a hassel so I'm confused where he came up with $20 for such a small item.

Anyways I'd really appreciate any other suppliers.

I'm currently shopping around for some ITC too.

This place is much cheaper than 'budget casting,' and it is in Tacoma WA, so it might be closer to you, depending where in Canada you are.

Definitely let me know if you or anyone else has a better / cheaper source.

I bought it from Jay Hayes. Here is some information Jay sent me on pricing on several items. The pricing is outdated so you may want to give him a call to get latest pricing. The ITC-100 is almost at the end of this list.

Hey guys
I've been reading up on the ITC-100 and it seems it would be good stuff to repair hailine cracks in my castable refractory forge. How well does the ITC react to flux ?

I've used the ITC-100 in ceramic kilns. It has a lot of really good properties but I'm not sure how well it will resist spilled flux from damascus making. I do know that it resists salt fumes very well because they use it in salt kilns a lot. In that case it is the sodium that is released from the heated salt that attacks the refractory.

The best place to get it is Axner Pottery Supply in FL. Try Axner.com

The ITC patching stuff they sell works very well for castable repair. The ITC spray coating will increase the efficiency of a kiln slightly. You guys are doing too short of a firing to see much difference though. Potters typically run a kiln for 12-24 hours straight.
