Update - TKCA Central Texas Knife Show

June 10, 2008
TKCA Central Texas Knife Show
During the weekend of the Blade Show I had a chance to sit down with Perry Miller, the new President of the National Knife Collectors Association. Perry has been a regular table holder at the past Central Texas Knife Shows and inquired about his organization sanctioning our show as National Knife Collectors Association sanctioned show.

After some discussion, and visiting with several board members, we agreed that it would be good for both our organizations to have this endorsement. Perry attends lots of knife shows around the country and will be promoting our show during his travels. I see this as a win-win situation for both our organizations.

Anyone with ideas of how we can continue to improve our show, or help it grow in the future, please pass them on to me or any of our board members.

TKCA Central Texas Knife Show
The show is slowly coming together. As of today we have 31 tables sold out of the 60-80 that will be available. In addition to our show, Blade Sports, Inc. the cutting competition organization, will be holding a competitive cut on Saturday. Some of the ranked cutters will be in attendance....Gayle Bradley, Ted Ott, John Fitch, Warren Osborne, and many more.

We need volunteers from the membership to help out during the weekend to man the admissions, and TKCA table. We're trying to get enough individuals signed up to work in 2 hours shifts so that any one person isn't tied to the table all weekend. You can contact me at 830-606-4067, or Leon Treiber at 830-367-2246 to get your name on the list.

We have VIP passes that will be available for you...... contact me or any board member if you'd like to get a few to send your special clients.

Tables are still available...call Zane Blackwell, our Secretary/Treasurer, at (325)-456-8180 to reserve your table.

Tank, the show is July 18-19-20. Hope you'll be able to make it. You had some nice knives at the Blade Show.

Here is a the Show Flyer with the application form attached.
