Ditto on this one. Looks like you've got it (all) figured out.

I've just been admiring the knife, expecially the engraved bolsters. Would you mind explaining the process that you used on the bolsters to a newbie?

I was interested in how you engraved them. What tools did you use and what was the finish that you used to make the engraving stand out.

Gary I did not do the engraving, it was done by Jim Small of Madison Ga. I can explain the process to you tho.

Ther out line is cut into the metal using a hammer and chisel and /or a graver master /max(this is a air powered recriprocating chisel) once the pattern is done the background is removed with the chisel to a shallow depth. This is a most difficult part of the process because it must be even and level. once the background is removed the shadding lines are cut and the background area is inked to give it the contrast. Jim Small is one of the better engravers around and a very good knife maker also. Hope this answers your guestion--------------Rade
