Buying micarta in bulk
I hope I'm in the right place. But. Were do I get "cheep" micarta in bulk (sheets mostly), and is there such a thing as any body selling "bad" micarta?

Check with Alpha Knife Supply. I believe that they sell in sheets though I don't know about 2nds quality.

If you want to buy a 4x4 or 4x8 sheet try http://www.professionalplastics.com/MICARTA. They sell in bulk and you need to check if you have a Regal Plastics dealer near you they also sometimes have sheets. I bought a sheet of black canvas micarta 15 years ago and am still cutting handles out of it.
Also try http://www.angus-campbell.com/, I buy my thin (1/16th inch) micarta here for spacer material on hidden tang knives. __________________ Brad Johnson LTC, Ret KMG since 1991 [IMG][/IMG] http://bradjohnsonknives.blademakers.com/ Last edited by Brad Johnson; 03-01-2014 at 07:05 PM. |
