How about a report, with pics, on the different hammer-ins. Recent and in the past year.

Both of you guys have good ideas, well worth committing to print. I's like to see articles on specific forging techniques--such as forging to the edge, which many have asked about. Also I'd most like to see a regular feature on making tooling--swages, holding devices, forging tools, etc. to accomplish specific tasks. The sky is really the limit here. Prizzim's map of the smiths should be featured in an issue too.

Thanks Iron Pounders

Thanks for the suggestions, woke up this morning thinking, what did I get into . Am looking forward to the project.

The plan is to first get a protype newsletter up and going, I have 5 megs of free non business space through my internet provider, the local telephone company. That should do until we can get a site of our own.

Got to go now and hug my anvil, it's time to pound iron.

I've just about finished a bellows and will offer to write about it, unless someone with more experience wants to. Outside of a couple of books, and a very few web sites, there's not much out there on bellows. Contact me at mmatthew@coe.uga.edu to take me up on this offer.

How about bringing metalsmithing and bladesmithing to people who otherwise would not have experienced it, for a mission statement.
