Reworking a folding knife
Howdy, this is my first post, been lurking for a week or so. I have a Colt CT29 folder with aluminum handles. What I'm wondering is, If I got some new handle material (burl or dymonwood) could I "re-handle" the knife? Will the wood alone stand up to the spring pressure of the locking mechanism? Thanks in advance. Ned |

I see no reason why you should`nt be able to rework it. I put new scales on a lockback for a friend of my a couple of months back, and it turned out much better than he had before. Give it a try. |
