Arkansas Toothpick Sheath

Well it's been a busy last couple of weeks:

Anybody remember Dr Gene ().
Well this customer saw the pic of the Toothpick the doctor posted and liked it enough to have Dan make a copy. During that um..uh "discussion" Tim Adlam (www.adlamngraving.com) sent me some pics of a toothpick and sheath that reside in his collection - that sheath was the inspiration for this one. I decided to do it a little different than the original which had a brass(?) tip - I made this one to look like a frontiersman had mucked up the metal tip (copper here) and did a "fix" by cutting a piece of the tip to use as an inlay and wrapped it with leather. Then everything was "reattached" to the body of the sheath with brass tacks and copper wire lacing.
The color is a bit off - the sheath is aged burgundy - just couldn't seem to get the variations in the color to show up that well.

Sandy - always glad to please.

Dan it was a pleasure (although with that shape blade it was a bugger to get a GOOD fit.)
