Not Exactly High Performance, But...

It's one way to turn a $16 blade into a useful tool. I did a small tutorial on sharpening an Ontario machete my way. Done right, it's one of the most effective wood choppers you can own, and holds up to hard use a lot better than you might expect.

Hey Jerry, that was really helpful! You told some time ago about doing edge work on machettes and I went out to the flea market and bought 20 at $5 each and done what you said and resold them for $10 ea. and have not had one unhappy customer! I do it for fun, otherwise, I would charge more.
