Cowboy Bowie

Hey There,
Heres a few pics of the Bowie I finished the other day. MIke Norris Rain Drop Damascus, Giraffe bone Bolsters, brass cigar band, 10,000-15,000 year old Wooly Mammoth Tooth handle. It measures a little over 12" over all, 7inch blade 3 1/4inch top eadge, and 2 1/8inch wide blade at the widest piont. Sorry my camera sucks or I don't know how to use it, but it seems to take realy crappy pics lately . Let me know what ya think . Thanks, Shane

Hey thanks fellors!!
Lee yes I do fill in my file work. I use Devcon 5 minute 2 part epoxie to glue my scales on, so I mix a little extra and goop it on there while gluing on my scales. I used to not fill the file workin and it does look good both way, but I think it looks a little better maybe more professional in my opinion to fill it in. I have seen some epoxie dye stuff in the texas knife makers catolog, and have been going to try coloring the epoxie in the file work, but I don't know it might look funny. I'll try it one day. Thanks, Shane

Shane, in my opinion and this is just mine, I think it's a great idea. It really looks good and it makes it a ton easier to keep clean. I mean a ton of stuff can make it's way down in there and be a pain to get back out.

I like the idea. Kudos.

Looks great, Shane! That would be one rich cowboy to wear a knife like that!
