Amboyna burl block wanted
I'm looking for a really special piece of Amboyna burl for a knife I'm making for myself. It's got to have a deep red color and very tight clusters. Anyone have a DRY block of this around that they would like to part with? I'm trying to make a knife for this hunting season, and really would like to do it in Amboyna, but I can't find anyone that has pics of actual blocks or dry blocks. Please send me an email if you'd like to sell some. Thanks.

You might want to give James Poplin (Pop's Knife Supplies) a call. I got a block of Amboyna from him several months back. I called him and told him exactly what I was looking for, and he sorted through his stock and came up with the perfect piece. BTW, his stuff is stabilized.

Update to post
I finally got the knife finished with the Amboyna burl I ordered from Pop. What a great block of wood he sent. Just thought I'd follow up with a picture. Love that Amboyna!
