Question Anyone know this maker?

Just trying to get a handle on who made this thing. It was a present from a family member a few years back and she couldn't remember who sold it to her. All she could remember is that she was east of the Mississippi.

Blade is 3.5", OAL is 6.5"

Handle is basically a 3 finger. Amber bolster with silver solder beadwork around the base. I think it is a steel pin through the amber. Owl carving on the crown. Silver inlay stamped JL on the stag. Blade has a distal taper. Not sure of the blade content as I'm not going to spark test it anytime soon

Thanks -- Adam
