Fathers Day

Here is the knife I made for my day. Don't tell him:
It is a far cry from the one I made him last year. This year has been great. All of you have helped me alot. This is something I have always wanted to do and now I am HOOKED. Still a newbee...Paul

I almost forgot specs:
oal: 5.25"
bolsters: bronze dove tailed w/spacers
scales: mirendiba (sp)
liner: 15N20
blade: some dimascas I found in Dave Winstons trash
random pattern finished to just shadow the lines
Thanks again all

That's a heck of a nice dad's day gift!

Very interesting choice of materials. I wish I could see it from another view, is that a metal spacer between the bolster and the handle? I can't help but wonder, given the selected materials, if the light hitting it from another angle changes the way it looks when you hold it in your hand?

Cool folder.

Dennis

ps. I've only done the KnifeKits so far. Although my father is very impressed with the photos he's seen of my work (he's down in Florida and checks these forums frequently), he insists that even the DDR-II is too big for him to carry. He has an old Schrade slipjoint he's been carrying for 30 years. I'll have to think of something else. I'm sure your Dad will be thrilled.
