52100 Bar Stock
Anyone know a source for 52100 barstock @ 1/4 thick?
Hopefully without charging 11 prices for it! Thanks God Bless Mike __________________ "I cherish the Hammer of Thor, but I praise the hand of God" |

Mike, if you find a source, please let me know too...the only place I found wanted a price that would require me to sell body parts to be able to afford it. You could always forge down some rounds with that press of yours...

Fry Steel stocks it, in rounds, and flats.

I'm pretty sure they only carry it in rounds, I checked with them last year and the current catalog on the website isn't showing it in flats. BTW, this may be a question to start in a new thread, but for those people that use 52100 a lot, are they using vacuum remelt, or bearing grade? ...big difference in price between the two...about $1.5 per pound for bearing grade and about $4.50 per pound for vacuum remelt...just curious what people are using and how much of a difference it *really* makes? -Darren __________________ Gas Forges, Refractory, & Knifemaking Supplies Refractory.EllisCustomKnifeworks.com Visit the Forge Gallery - forge building resource pages ForgeGallery.EllisCustomKnifeworks.com |
