Double Homicide

Hi all, I'm working a double homicide down here where a knife was used but never located. We spent days in the woods around the scene of the crime to no avail.

The suspect, now defendant, described the knife as being a Bowie knife with a blade that is about 11 or 12 inches long. He said it had an ornate gold handle and a dragon of some sort etched on the blade itself.

I am a knife novice and from the little I've read about them, this is not much of a description to go on even if you believe what this suspect says.

We have just about given up on finding the murder weapon but for court purposes we would like to find something that looks similar to it to show the jury.

I have an interview with the original knife owner next week (kinda complicated here but trust me it wasnt easy to get this interview), and we may come up with a better description, but i would sure like to have some pictures of similar knives to show this guy so we can get an idea what the murder weapon looked like.

I can tell you this, from the looks of the wounds the blade was at least 8 inches long and maybe as much as 2 inces wide. (just guessing).....

Now here's the real problem, if you try to email me pix at this addy the police department server will strip it and I wont get it. What i suggest is that if you have something for me, email me and if you got a pic i will get you another place to send it.

Thanx everyone
