Hunter, scratched up
Here is one I scratched on for the Reno show. My daughter will be replacing me at my table for the show.

That is a beautiful knife. I have been a fan of this particular knife design of yours since I first saw one! The engraving makes it that much better and makes for a perfect visual balance of the knife. The gold is a nice touch also. The Damascus is also wonderful! Thanks for sharing Brian |

Jerry, you may want to practice this to see how it would look, but a small black line on each side of the gold would look good.

Jerry,
nice looking work, interesting use of half and half shading on the leaves. I second Joe Mason's earlier comment about a fine line cut next to gold and black filled. In the pictures posted here, the gold really stands out from the boslter material, but I know in real life, the gold can easily get lost in stainless or silver. but the very thin almost invisible borders on either side of the gold will really make the gold line "pop" out to the eye, especially in the miserable lighting that we all have to deal with at shows |

Outstanding. May I ask what the price tag will be? I have firm intentions to be the first guy standing at the door (of course, I realize I'm not alone thinking that. But I don't need much sleep... )

Jerry, amazing engraving on the blade it looks like damascus ...................way to go. The gold is very clean and straight. Sorry to hear you won't be at Reno. I was making it a point to drop in and harrass you.

Man, you've really picked up on this stuff quickly. That's some fine scratching. Of course, having such a good looking knife to scratch on to begin with doesn't hurt. I really like this one.

Thanks for the kind words y'all. I am sure going to miss Reno this year. I had looked forward to pulling on some of y'alls chain to help me.
Joss, if my table is where it was last year it is near the front door. Just look for the short cute girl behind the table grinning, since she is filling in for me. I normally post up what I will have at the show on my web site under the up coming shows button. I am running a bit behind due to this browning project but hope to get a couple more added on there. __________________ Pointy end always goes away from you. |
