Rit Dye for Bone
I have used Fiebings leather dye for deer leg bone and was quite plased with the result. I would now like to try Rit Dye. Do you use it according to package directions or is there a "method"? Do the colors come out as advertised, meaning does the black dye come out black or is it blue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I mix my RIT with wood hardener, heat it with a hairdryer until it is warm to the touch. Then I microwave the bone or antler for 30 seconds and drop it in. Don;t overfill your jar because it will bubble up real quick. Seal the jar and let it sit overnite or longer depends on what you want. Wipe it off and let it dry for at least another day. I have used this with bone and antler and it worked well for me.
