Something slightly different.

This is a knife I really enjoyed making.
The blade is forged from Sleipner steel by G?ran Enocksson. The forged and twisted details are made by a friend of mine. I used stabilized ashburl, striped ebony , pewter and brass in the handle.
The sheath is double stiched with 0.3mm plastic covered wire in predrilled holes.
It sits very cofortably in the hand, but other that chopping I don`t know what it would be used for. As I said I enjoyed making very much. One of my very favorites to date.

Please let me know what you think. All comments are welcome.

Thanks for looking

Regards
/Magnus

Magnus,

You have outdone yourself! ;-) That is a spectacular piece. Still says Magnus Axelson all over it.

Thanks for showing it to us, your time and effort shows quite well in this one!

Great looking knife, looks like a fighter to me. How did you attach the twisted bit to the handle and the sheath?

The piece on the handle has a 2" screw welded to it that is glued like a normal tang. And the hole thing is glued as well.
The sheath is basically done the same way. It has a small ?" "hook" on the end and is sewn at the top. It is also glued in place.
