Watch Out For Lightning!!

Tonight, while working on my electro-etch machine project I got a huge surprise. I was in the middle of soldering some components and Wham - lightening hit somewhere nearby. I felt a huge jolt go up my arm and I just about fell off my chair. Lesson learned - Don't solder during a thunderstorm!!

Man , One more thing to worry about! :-)

Happened to me once. Lightning hit next to my neighbors house while I was on the shop phone , got a big screech in my ear plus a good jolt through the head, knocked me a few feet away. The phone never worked right again.
Scary stuff.

Hi Christian. Yeah, I am up in the northern part of the state (Long Valley). We got hit pretty hard in various towns. I feel really lucky that I didn't suffer any serious injury, but it was a heck of a wake up call.
